Reporting Legal Violations at the Warsaw University of Technology

Published: 15/10/2024

The Regulations on Reporting Legal Violations and Undertaking Follow-up Actions at the Warsaw University of Technology were introduced by the Rector’s Regulation of 17 September 2024.

Reports are received by an independent external entity – Linia Etyki Sp. z o.o., through the following channels:

  • Hotline: +48 22 129 24 20, available on business days from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Online platform: politechnikawarszawska.liniaetyki.com (without the “www” prefix in the address)
  • E-mail: politechnikawarszawska@liniaetyki.pl
  • Upon the whistleblower’s request – through a direct meeting.

A report may be identified or anonymous and should include:

  • the date and place of the legal violation or the date and place of a likely violation, or the date and place when information about the violation was obtained;
  • identification of the entity concerned by the report;
  • a description of the specific situation or circumstances that may constitute a legal violation;
  • identification of any potential witnesses to the violation;
  • all evidence and information available to the whistleblower that may assist in reviewing the report;
  • indication of the preferred method of feedback or further contact.

The reporting individual (“Whistleblower”) is protected under the Regulations, which expressly prohibit any form of retaliation against such persons.

Reports are subject to initial verification by the external entity receiving them (Linia Etyki), and subsequently by the Whistleblower Support Team within the University Social Responsibility Office.

In justified cases, the Team also undertakes appropriate follow-up actions as provided for in the Regulations.

Use of the procedure set out in the Regulations is voluntary and does not preclude the possibility of using official internal channels for the same purpose.
